In a transformative step toward digital inclusion for rural schools, Lyra’s amazing corporate partners Softcat and GreenSafe IT have sourced and refurbished IT equipment for 10 rural secondary schools, destined for the Dodoma region in Tanzania. The TechConnect Container is now being loaded onto a ship in the UK and will reach Tanzania early September.
This summer, Lyra in Africa will launch a unique and immersive pilot initiative – the “Walk to School” project – designed to connect global supporters with the heart of our mission: ensuring girls in rural Tanzania can complete their secondary education safely.
On 2nd May 2025, Lyra proudly participated in the Innovation Roadshow at Iringa University, held under the theme “Innovation for a Resilient & Inclusive Future.” The full-day event brought together a wide range of stakeholders, including universities, NGOs, companies, and independent entrepreneurs, to celebrate creativity, collaboration, and the power of innovation.
